Wolves have signed striker Patrick Cutrone for a fee potentially rising to £20m. The 21-year-old underwent a medical on Tuesday before the transfer was formalised.
Express & Star reported that the deal is an initial £16m with the remaining £4m coming from add-ons. This left a number of fans at Molineux thrilled by the news, especially with how little they looked set to pay for him.
Cutrone had a breakthrough year in the 2017/18 season where he netted 18 goals in 46 matches before following that up last season with nine goals in 43 appearances. It is thought he will arrive as an alternative option to Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota.
One supporter claimed it was fantastic news as another described the potential deal as an absolute bargain for the potential he has.
Matt Targett’s move to Aston Villa and Matej Vydra’s transfer to Burnley, both of similar fees, were compared, hinting how good the business Wolves were doing was.
Others simply labelled him as cheap as chips with one member of the Wolves fanbase believing that it proves going abroad for talent brings you much better value for money.
