Loads of Newcastle fans have been reacting rather hilariously to some comments from Mo Diame, as the all-action midfielder insisted the Magpies can beat anyone on a good day.
Newcastle have had a truly torrid start to the season, though for most of it their fans were willing to be patient due to the quality of the opposition.
The Magpies have already faced five of last season’s top six through their first nine league games, but have picked up just two points from the other four fixtures.
The home clash against Brighton was a clear opportunity to grab their first three points of the season, and Saturday’s visit to a struggling Southampton is another great chance to get the season up and running.

While Diame has been one of the worst performers so far this season, the 31-year-old is still confident that the Toon Army can rescue their troubling start.
“We have spent a lot of time together as a group. So we know what we are really capable of achieving and we know that we can beat anybody,” he told Chronicle Live.
“We know we can beat anybody. It’s about doing our job properly.
“We need to change things to make sure we are on our game.
