The Serie A side suffered the worst ever defeat in a Champions League final in Munich on Saturday as PSG ran riot to win 5-0. They arrived home on Sunday to the very opposite of a fanfare, with a solitary supporter present to welcome them at the airport.

The fan, named Marco, told : "I'm the only idiot here but they still deserve applause."

It has been a brutal ending to the season for Simone Inzaghi's side, who also lost out to Napoli for the Serie A title on the final day of the season. Being thrashed by PSG was their second Champions League final defeat in the last three years, with Manchester City having beaten them 1-0 in the 2023 showpiece.
