“I would say Rondon has had a better season than Firmino.”
That was the answer given by The Magpie Channel after they were asked the question regarding who has enjoyed the more productive season.
The Magpie Channel believe that “Rondon has nearly single-handedly kept Newcastle up in terms of goals.”
Rondon has scored 11 goals for Newcastle this season with ten coming in the league – his best ever return in the top flight.
The Magpie Channel have dubbed him “the Venezuelan Shearer.”
Talking about Firmino, valued at £72 million by Transfermarkt, The Magpie Channel said “with the likes of Mane and Salah you could probably stick Origi or Sturridge in there and they would do a decent job.”
Rondon has had an unbelievable season for The Toon and his importance cannot be underestimated, but Firmino is a player who makes Liverpool tick.
He creates space for Mane and Salah and, without him, Liverpool are a much poorer outfit.
Firmino has outscored Rondon but they both have the same number of assists with seven in the league.
See in the video below why The Magpie Channel think Rondon has had a better season than Firmino.
