Greg Stewart lasted just shy of an hour in Rangers’ 3-0 win over East Fife in the League Cup this weekend, and the fans are far from pleased with what they saw from the former Aberdeen winger.
Stewart was making just his second start for Steven Gerrard’s side and he failed to inspire the supporters. Signed from Birmingham this summer after loan spells at Aberdeen and Kilmarnock, the 29-year-old is yet to leave a good impression on the Ibrox faithful.

Despite Stewart’s lacklustre display, the Gers made light work of their League One opposition. Goals from Jermain Defoe, Joe Aribo and Filip Helander ensured their spot in the quarter-finals, where they’ll face Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena next month.
Even with the victory in testing circumstances, many fans were left questioning why the wide-man was brought to the club. The supporters were far from enamoured with his display against the third-tier opposition, with many glad to see he was hooked just before the hour mark.
