In United's 2-1 comeback Europa League win on Thursday against the Czech Republic side, Hojlund scored twice in a big victory for Ruben Amorim's side. After the match, he said his second strike, from a Bruno Fernandes free-kick, was reminiscent of ex-Red Devils forward Martial's goal from a Fernandes set piece against Manchester City in 2020.

He told : "I have watched Bruno [Fernandes] do that before. I remember the goal with Anthony Martial when he did the chip for him. I just thought I had a good opportunity because I am strong, I could push the defender and spin him and finish."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
This result away from home lifted United into the top eight positions that would automatically see them qualify for the last 16 of the Europa League. After a couple of losses in the Premier League, this was a welcome win for Amorim's team. And having Hojlund in the goals again will be key to their success going forward.
